Here, I am hoping to address some of the most frequently asked questions.

Q: How do I know that counselling is going to help me with what I am bringing?

A: This, of course, is one of the hardest questions to answer. There are many contributing factor that will influence the outcome of therapy. This is why I offer a first session for free, so that we will be able to assess if I have the right skill-set to help with what you are bringing and if you feel comfortable working with me.

One important factor is the development of trust in the therapeutic relationship and the formulation of an intentional willingness to engage with your inner landscapes.

Q: How long will it take? Is there a limit to the number of sessions?

A: I do offer short and long term work. I encourage regular reviews to assess the work we have done, what worked and didn't work and to assess if you would want to continue or discontinue therapy.

Q: What about confidentiality?

A: All sessions are strictly confidential and this will be discussed in detail at the beginning. I also send out some paperwork at the outset of our work that will specifically mention confidentiality.

Q: What about online security?

A; I keep up to date with all the safety and security features offered for online work from my side. ZOOM, as a video platform has a good encryption system and is a widely used provider. We will discuss this in more detail when you decide to work online with me.

Q: Does ZOOM involve any costs or downloads?

A: ZOOM is a free software package and yes, you will need to download and install it on your device. I can guide you through the set-up process if you are unsure of how to do this.

Q: Can I have telephone counselling?

A: Yes, telephone sessions is one of the forms of therapy I deliver.
